皆さん、お元気ですか？
今日は、近所にある神社に初めて行きました。
日本にはたくさんの神社があります。
日本全国で、約８万８０００カ所あり、コンビニよりも多いそうです。
今日は、いつもの散歩道にある神社に行ってみました。
まずは、鳥居をくぐります。
真ん中は、神様の通り道なので、はじを歩きます。
そして、手や口を水で流します。
自分をきれいにするためです。
鈴を鳴らし、お金を入れます。
二回深く頭を下げて、二回手をたたき、もう一度深く頭を下げます。
神社は、どこに行っても、常にきれいに掃除されています。
とても気持ちが良いです。
どこに住んでも、歩いて行けるところに神社があります。
さて、今日も暑いです😵💦
そんな暑い日にぴったりの梅ジュースができあがりました！
炭酸で割って飲みました。
散歩から帰ってきて飲んだら、元気になりました。
とてもさっぱりおいしくできました。
一ヶ月分はありそうです。
私は夏が大好きなのですが、チャールズは苦手です。
毎日梅ジュースを飲ませて、元気に過ごしてもらいます！😁

Hi everyone, how are you?
Today, we went to a Shinto shrine in our neighborhood for the first time.
There are many shrines in Japan.
Japan has about 88,000 shrines. That’s more than the number of convenience stores, it seems.
Today, we visited a shrine that is on our usual walking course.
First, you pass through a torii gate.
The middle of the shrine path is for gods to walk on, so we walk on the side of the path.
Then, you rinse your hands and mouth with water.
You do this in order to make yourself clean.
You then ring the bell and put in some money.
Bow twice, clap twice, then bow deeply one more time.
No matter where you visit, shrines are always kept clean.
They are very comfortable places.
Wherever you live, there is (usually) a shrine within walking distance.
By that way, it’s very hot today. 😵💦
My plum juice, which is perfect for a hot day, is ready to drink!
I drank mine with soda water.
Drinking it after taking a walk gave me my energy back.
It was very refreshing and delicious.
It looks like we have about one month’s worth.
I love summer, but Charles hates it.
I’ll give him plum juice every day so that he can make it through the summer! 😁
