Yuru Talk Ep. 10: Instant Ramen in Japan

English Version (Charles)

Hi everyone, how are you?

Today, I will introduce instant ramen and cup noodles that are sold in Japan.

We sometimes eat cup noodles and instant ramen.

We only buy them when we want to eat them very badly.

Charles likes spicy things, so his favorite kind is spicy ramen from Korea.

It’s too spicy for me, so I cannot eat it 😅

The ramen I often ate when I was a kid is called “Chicken Ramen.”

It start selling in 1958. It is considered the world’s first instant ramen.

It was a snack in our home 😆 The flavor hasn’t changed at all since then.

Chicken ramen doesn’t come with soup packets. The flavor is in the noodles.

Typically, it is eaten by cracking an egg onto it and then pouring in hot water.

When I eat it, it makes me recall my childhood. So nostalgic. 😊

Flavors of cup noodles we like are curry and chili tomato.

I especially like the chili tomato-flavored ones. Sometimes, even the large size is not enough😅

When I see someone else eating cup noodles, I want to eat them too.

I also crave them late at night when I am hungry.

Japanese instant ramen and cup noodles are delicious. There are many varieties.

If you have a chance to eat them, please try them out.

There are also cup noodles for udon and soba.

If I find any interesting flavors, I’ll introduce them again here.

See you!
